Full Job Description (JavaScript/php/mySQL Developer):
At Meal2GO.com we are now looking to recruit a PHP MySQL , JavaScript Developer / Web Developer to join our team of friendly enthusiast developers and designers in the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham, a beautiful office with tennis table and fresh coffee.
This is a great time to join the company. The website, which offers a online food ordering and electronic point of sales system/services, is becoming hugely successful and its client base includes all the major chains plus the largest retail financial services companies, as well as index providers, consultants and industry regulators.
Joining our friendly and dynamic IT team in our Birmingham office, as a PHP MySQL and JavaScript Developer / Web Developer your role will be to assist the team in developing and maintaining the company's online services, adding new features, including basic server administration.
You will be responsible for the following:
- analysing technical specifications to provide the best development process for new online and EPOS tools/services
- developing new and enhancing existing online functionalities
- working with JavaScript frame works such as: Jquery and extjs
- redesigning and maintaining the Content Management System and live front end
- maintaining the inhouse and 'live' servers
- assisting the team to provide support to staff
To succeed as the PHP MySQL JavaScript Developer, you must have strong PHP and MySQL development skills, ideally with knowledge of Ajax. In terms of JavaScript you will need to know more than validating forms and creating menus. Your experience of working with frameworks such as Jquery or extjs would at most be in your advantage .
You will also need a great attention to detail quality, good communication skills and the enthusiasm to play a key role in this position.
